I was born July 30, 1973, and I'm a private investigator.

It started four days ago.

Things hadn't been going so well for me.

I hadn't had a paying case in weeks, and my current prospects were dim.

The little money I was making was going towards my office fund.

See, I made it my goal to have an office by the end of the month.

But at the moment, I was still working out of my apartment.

The guy I was going to see was Robert Lidecker,

who worked in the family business, Lidecker Publishing,

which put out about a dozen titles a month, most of them skin mags.

But I wasn't worried about how Robert made his money that morning.

All I could think about was how I was going to get some of that money
