The first reason is that it's a completely reusable motor.

Some pumps are what's called an open system and that means that it's possible for milk

to get into the tubing and then into the engine and then it can get moldy and it can spread

disease and others are what are called closed systems and are meant to be reused across

multiple users and Hygieia specifically says you can reuse our pump just by a new accessory

set and so that was one reason I chose it.

The other reason I chose it was that Hygieia conformed to the WHO code of breast milk substitute

marketing.

I have to figure out what the actual name for that is.

But the WHO code is a rule that many countries in the world sign on to that does not allow

companies to market their products as better than or substitute for breast milk and breast

feeding and so you'll find companies that say we do our best to mimic breast feeding
